Pickpockets

There are several factors victims become easy targets of pickpockets. Firstly, victims use public transport during busy hours. They expose their wallets, making them easily accessible to the pickpockets. The exposed bag then is carried over shoulder. Victims also place wallets in outer compartment and worn over shoulder. Next, wearing extra clothing reduces victims’ sense of bodily awareness which also provide added cover to hide their reward. Furthermore, a distracting environment contributes less personal space where they expect to be bumped and not concerned with others. Finally, victims have lack of knowledge on how pickpockets work like work in teams, pocket slice, and knee the victims.

Traffic Congestion

Several measures can be taken to reduce traffic congestion. Firstly, impose congestion charges and introduce car-pool lanes along congested roads. Then, fine a lone driver and charge a toll for low-occupancy private vehicles. High-occupancy private vehicles may be exempted from charges or pay a discounted fee. Next, improve public transportation. For public convenience, integrated ticketing systems need to be implemented. Subsequently, building covered pedestrian walks will reduce congestion. Then, provide grants to cities for testing methods of reducing congestion. Implementing electronic payment scheme could also help to ease the traffic flow. Lastly, road management system needs to be improved.
